I first became excited about midwifery care as a birth center volunteer, immediately feeling at home in the busy but calm and family-centered environment. Over the next 10+ years I was deeply involved in other types of health and wellness care, until I felt ready to dive back into birth work and midwifery with that range of other experiences under my belt.
I studied at the National Midwifery Institute in Vermont and trained as a midwifery apprentice in the Oakland Bay Area in California, working with a wide variety of midwives in both birth center and homebirth settings. I am nationally licensed as a Certified Professional Midwife, as well as licensed by the State of Vermont.
I bring over a decade of healthcare experience in addition to my midwifery training, with my previous work in primary care, urgent care, mental health, reproductive and sexual health care, and healthcare access advocacy.
All my care is currently home visits where people live, not at an office. I will typically travel anywhere within an hour radius of Putney, VT.
