Transgender Program

Pride Center of Vermont’s Transgender Program facilitates community development for transgender, intersex, and gender non-conforming Vermonters to celebrate diverse gender identities and expressions.  We strive to make visible and foster respect for gender variation, by promoting awareness, advocating for and with the transgender, intersex, and gender non conforming community, creating support networks, encouraging opportunities for creative expression and inquiry of gender issues, and cultivating a welcoming community for all.

As the trans community action planning committee, Transpire meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at 6pm. Come join trans folks and our allies in planning events for the community and supporting actions regarding the transgender, intersex, and GNC community.

Trans & GNC Vermonters at all stages of their gender journey come together to socialize, discuss issues that are coming up in their lives, and build community. Meets virtually on the first and third Wednesdays of the month 6:30-8pm. Email for the meeting link, or with any questions, comments, or accessibility concerns.

This group started up to meet the needs of trans people in Central Vermont. They meet to play games, do arts and crafts and have good conversations with each other. Meets at the Christ Episcopal Church in Montpelier on the first Tuesday of the month at 7pm.

Transform is a mentorship program for transgender Vermonters early in their gender journey to be paired with other trans folks who have been through this and can help them navigate the medical and legal systems as well as provide support in whatever ways would feel best. This program is currently paused while we re-evaluate. Please email with any questions.

Formerly, Partners of Trans People, Pride Partners is a group for partners of trans & GNC people who would like support regarding their partner’s transition, the challenges that come up for both partners, and how best to be there for their trans partner.

The group meets on the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 6:30-8pm. Currently meeting virtually; email for the meeting link.

Family, Parents, Friends, & Allies of Transgender Adults: As our name suggests, we are people with adult loved ones who are transgender or gender-nonconforming. We meet on the second Thursday of each month to support each other and to learn more about issues and concerns. Our meetings are supportive, informal, and confidential. Not sure if you’re ready for a meeting? We also offer one-on-one support. For more information, email or call 802-238-3801
