Changing your name and/or gender marker can seem like a daunting process. In this Google Drive we have compiled the information into a step by step process to hopefully alleviate some of the stress that comes along with the process. The Vermont Diversity Health Project (VDHP) exists to improve the health and wellness of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Vermonters by building bridges between healthcare providers and LGBTQ people throughout the state. Our goal is to help patients identify safe, affirming, supportive, and effective healthcare providers.
Systems Advocacy

Trans Program strives to be present in statewide and national conversations having systemic implications for trans, nonbinary, intersex, gender non-conforming folks in Vermont.
Committee participation is prioritized based on availability and capacity. If you know of a statewide or national opportunity for supporting trans, nonbinary, intersex, gender non-conforming folks that you feel we should be a part of, please email trans@pridecentervt.org.
SafeSpace Anti-Violence Program

Recognizing that trans and nonbinary folks are at higher risk of trauma and violence than the general population, our Trans Program overlaps services with our SafeSpace Anti-Violence Program. SafeSpace offers services to trans, enby, and GNC survivors of violence, bias, discrimination and/or other harms.
If you are or have experienced violence and/or harm feel free to reach out to SafeSpace’s support line at (802) 863-0003 or chat online with an advocate here. Hours: M-Th 10a-6p and Fri 10a-2p.
EDUCATION & TRAININGS
