The Pleasure Is Mine: Exploring Pleasure After Harm

In this workshop you will use all of your senses as a guide towards pleasure. Through an offering of guided practices and self-reflection, you will begin to cultivate an awareness of your relationship to pleasure, and identify ways to make pleasure more accessible. Please bring something to write on and with.

Meet the educators!

​​Jenna Emerson (she/her) is a health and sexuality educator at the University of Vermont and identifies as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. Her work is centered around providing inclusive, shame-free, pleasure centered, and comprehensive sexuality education. When it comes to sexuality topics, Jenna has a wide array of expertise including sexual health, consent, healthy relationships, sexual violence prevention, pregnancy and STI prevention, pleasure, and LGBTQIA+ topics. In addition to her work as a sex educator, Jenna is a musician and comedian. You may have seen Jenna’s Little Mermaid parody music video, or attended her comedy show ‘Sex With Jenna!’

Liam Malone (they/them), is a non-binary, neurodivergent, clinical social worker. Liam specializes in supporting folks as they rebuild an internal sense of trust and safety. They believe that healing can happen when we begin to feel connected to ourselves, our bodies, and our communities. Liam uses artistic expression, somatic and sensory integration, and narrative exploration to guide and empower connection. At a time when pleasure and connection can feel inaccessible, Liam aims to offer a trauma-informed space for folks to engage.
