SafeSpace Support Group: Empowering Skills for All Relationships

January 9 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)
Alternative date 2/4 in case of heavy snow

This training is based on work by Northwest Networks, a lesbian survivor founded group from Seattle. Our group will talk about various dynamics that come up in relationships, and create a trauma-sensitive space to explore ways to build safe relationships. We will use a 2STLGBQIA+ focused curriculum, incorporating facilitators’ own experiences and examples that participants choose to share for discussion. The group builds upon topics week by week, covering anti-oppression and values, expectations and negotiation, boundaries, accountability, conflict, and community. Activities include conversations and sharing examples, writing exercises and worksheets, and practicing skills together! Facilitated by SafeSpace advocate Arthur Lyu (he/him) and social worker and therapist Willow Stein (they/she), MSW. Please fill out this form by December 31st, 2024 for more information and to register.
