Grimm’s Gala: A Cinderella Affair

Experience enchantment at Grimm’s Gala, a spectacular two-day celebration taking place on July 14th and 15th, 2023. Themed around the delightful charm of The Whitney Produced movie, Roger and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, this event invites you to immerse yourself in a unique blend of art, literature, music, film, and performance.
Organized by Grimm’s Domain, a dedicated QTPOC and disabled-led group, our focus is on creating inclusive and accessible spaces for all. The gala aims to foster a sense of community in Chittenden County and beyond, offering a magical, welcoming environment that celebrates diversity and inclusion.
The event will take place on the 15th and is packed with a variety of engaging activities:
It will feature an Art Market, hosting 25-30 talented vendors showcasing their artwork in an outdoor area and the Atrium. The Great Room will house a moving Poetry Event and a riveting Romance Book Panel hosted by Kim MacQueen. In the Atrium, you’ll find a bar serving a selection of refreshments, while the Black Box will play host to a series of performances: Jenna Emerson’s comedy set, a captivating musical act, and a grand Burlesque Event to close the night.
Also, there will be multiple showings of Roger and Hammerstein’s Cinderella at the Film House, allowing you to relive the charm of the beloved film.
From Art Markets to live performances and movie showings, Grimm’s Gala is set to be a memorable occasion filled with magic, creativity, and community. This year’s event is especially unique, as it extends to the Monkey House in Winooski with Untapped happening simultaneously, broadening the scope of the festivities.
