SafeSpace Rural Advocacy Coordinator (Full Time)

Pride Center of Vermont (PCVT) is seeking a dynamic and skilled SafeSpace Rural Advocacy Coordinator to join our Anti-Violence Program Team. We are looking for a direct service advocate to increase access to resources and support for rural LGBTQ+ Vermonters impacted by violence, as well as educate and train service providers on providing gender-affirming, survivor-centered care. The ideal candidate understands and is able to effectively communicate the complexities of LGBTQ+ identities and the various challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals in Vermont, particularly in rural Vermont.

Pride Center of Vermont celebrates, educates, and advocates with and for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, HIV-positive (LGBTQ+) individuals in Vermont. The SafeSpace Anti-Violence Program of PCVT works in distinct and trauma-sensitive ways with LGBTQ+ people impacted by domestic and sexual violence, bias, hate, discrimination or harassment, and other types of systemic and community harms.

The Health and Wellness Coordinators work with the Health and Wellness Program Director to produce HIV prevention and testing programs, primarily focused on the Centers for Disease Control’s Mpowerment Program (GLAM), Social Networks Testing Program (6 Degrees), and HIV Testing, Referral and Linkage to Care with embedded PrEP Navigation.

Momentum Coordinator (Part Time)

Momentum is a network of LGBTQ+ Vermonters working to create opportunities for a vibrant, diverse, safe, and joyful community of adults over the age of 55. While the Momentum program and events are open to people of all ages, they are designed to address the specific needs of Vermont’s LGBTQ+ aging population. Momentum’s Neighbor to Neighbor Project connects LGBTQ+ Vermonters over 55 years of age with volunteer peers providing need-based support services that aid with various tasks to address isolation, food security, access to healthcare, and community networking.

The Momentum Coordinator works with the Executive Director, interns, and members of the Momentum Steering Committee to support, implement, and grow the Momentum Program and Neighbor to Neighbor Project. The responsibilities of this role include the creation of inclusive events and offerings designed to support and engage Vermont’s LGBTQ+ aging population and aligned community members. The Momentum Coordinator also participates in additional duties and training in accordance with Pride Center’s mission and values.
