Pride Center of Vermont:
Oct 13, 2025 – Board Update
Immediate Support Programs: The following organizations are available to provide immediate support while we coordinate continued services. For more information please visit our website.
❤️ VermontCares
🧡 Steps to End Domestic Violence
💛 Vermont Network Against Domestic and Sexual Violence
💚 Howard Center Substance Use & Recovery Support
💙 Pathways Mental Health Urgent Care
💜 LBGTQ+ National Hotline
Preserving Key Services: While daily operations are paused, we are working to ensure continuity wherever possible. Remaining staff and members of the Board are collaborating with partners to preserve key services and maintain access to affirming, trauma-informed support. We will be releasing additional information in the coming week as those details are finalized.
Continued Staff Support: Staff WILL be paid in full for all time worked. In addition, staff will be paid for up to two weeks of accrued time off, and will receive health benefits until at least the end of the month. We recognize that this does not provide enough support for some staff and are exploring additional ways to reduce the harm of this sudden crisis. This includes, but is not limited to, providing free access to financial planning assistance and job search assistance, while simultaneously acknowledging and amplifying staffs’ independent fundraising efforts.
Next Steps Forward: The new Board is working around the clock to conduct a full financial assessment, evaluate what went wrong, and create a roadmap forward. The outpouring of support has given us hope that the Center can be relaunched in the future with stronger accountability, governance and sustainability from the ground up.
During this pause we will be communicating those changes and efforts along the way on social media, in our newsletter and on our website: www.pridecentervt.org
