We’re excited to announce the Cisgender Accountability Discussion Group, a new, 3-series group starting on Tuesday, October 13th from 6:30-7:30 pm.
This discussion group is for:
– People who are committed to combating trans and non-binary exclusion & oppression in LGBTQ+ spaces and beyond
– People who would like to explore what it means to be cisgender & have cisgender privilege
– And for people who would like a space to problem-solve & gain tools to support those goals
Logistics:
– This is a virtual event
– This is a 3-part series. To promote community and accountability, we ask that you only register if you can attend all three sessions. The dates for these sessions are: 10/13, 11/17, and 12/15 from 6:30-7:30 pm

Registration will be capped at 15 participants
– The discussion will be guided by Jackie Weinstock and Jay Garvey. Jackie and Jay are both educators at UVM who study queer and trans inclusion.
A note on accountability:
This group will be accountable to a trans and non-binary caucus, spearheaded by Trans Program Coordinator, Gustavo Mercado Muniz. If you identify as trans and/or non-binary and have interest in joining this caucus, please reach out to Gustavo at gustavo@pridecentervt.org
