On June 6, Pride Center of Vermont will be saying goodbye to our Health and Wellness Coordinator, Johnny Chagnon. Chagnon has served in his role for several years, bringing wide expertise to his work for LGBTQ+ Vermonters.

“I respect and admire Johnny’s commitment and passion in serving LGBTQ+ communities,” said Mike Bensel, Executive Director at Pride Center of Vermont. “Johnny has put his unique talents to good use in creating sex-positive, safer sex programming for gay, bisexual, and transgender men and those living with HIV. I’m wishing a fond farewell and best of luck to Johnny in pursuing his next endeavor.”

Chagnon will be transitioning into roles focused on Housing Assistance as well as Substance Dependency Treatment & Services for the Burlington area community. He also will continue to serve in his capacity as a board member for Vermont Positive Living Coalition and producing LGBTQ+ events locally.

“Johnny’s passion and commitment to serving the most vulnerable populations in Vermont has consistently shown through in his work,” commented Taylor Small, Director of Health & Wellness at Pride Center of Vermont. “I am grateful for all that he has done and will continue to do for the LGBTQ+ community.”

“I’m grateful for all the people I’ve met through my work at the Pride Center of Vermont over the years, and hope to stay connected after my departure,” noted Chagnon.

Please join us in sending farewell notes and well wishes to johnny@pridecentervt.org.
