May Day March for Dignity!
May Day March for Dignity! ¡Marcha Por La Dignidad!
Monday, May 1
294 N. Winooski Avenue, Burlington, VT
Vermont dairy farmworkers have turned up the pressure on Ben & Jerry’s to join the Milk with Dignity Program. Ben & Jerry’s agreed to join this worker-driven social responsibility program nearly two years ago. Despite increased pressure from farmworkers and consumers, Ben & Jerry’s has continued to drag their feet, delaying implementation of Milk With Dignity.
We’ll kick off the march from the Migrant Justice/Vermont Workers’ Center office at 294 N. Winooski Avenue in Burlington. On our way to Ben & Jerry’s, we will pause in front of the Federal Building to demand an end to deportations and lift up Vermont voices and campaigns in resistance to the new administration’s attacks on our communities.
We know that our human rights are under attack in ways we haven’t seen for decades. Whether you are fighting for LGBTQ rights, an end to police brutality and racism, or to stop pipelines and fossil fuel extraction, we need you to join us in the streets this May Day in support of all communities fighting for their rights.
